About Us

Alpine Oncology Foundation (AOF), a Swiss-registered not-for-profit cancer charity, was founded in 2012, in memory of Sakina I Mughal, who passed away on the 15th October 2010. Through collaborative initiatives between hematology, medical oncology, legal, education, and technology professionals, AOF is committed to improving the quality of care for patients diagnosed with hematological malignancies in some of the most challenging parts of the world, such as Tanzania.

In order to achieve its principal goals, AOF joins efforts with multiple global partners. To date, these have included the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (an internationally accredited continuous medical education provider), the International Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Foundation (iCMLf), the Jose Carreras Foundation, the MAX foundation and Alpine Oncology AG. Some of these organizations facilitate the highest standards of independent medical education in the USA and other parts of the world in the fields of malignant hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation, which translates to improving the availability of the most innovative and effective therapies, and the best standards of healthcare for patients.
